FARMINGTON, Utah (April 9, 2025) – Northern Arizona's
Dani Torres brought in another Big Sky Player of the Week honors after leading the Jacks to a 3-0 weekend while clinching the Big Sky Regular Season Title.
Torres capped off a 6-0 weekend without dropping a single set as he led the Jacks to clinch the regular season title. Starting the weekend with a 6-1 doubles victory partnered with
Piotr Galus at the No. 2 before going on to give the Jacks a 3-0 lead in the match following a No. 1 singles victory over Tyler Dalos in 6-3, 6-4 fashion.
Torres continued his momentum into Saturday's matchup at Lewis-Clark State, quickly earning a 6-1 doubles victory with Galus at the No. 1. Torres picked up the first singles victory with a No. 1 win at 6-2, 6-2 over Pablo Herrera. Ending the weekend on a high note, Torres and Galus earned a 6-4 victory at the No. 1 slot in doubles play before Torres went 6-3, 6-0 over Idaho's top player Francisco Gay.
The Lumberjacks will close out the regular season this weekend in Flagstaff with a Friday matchup against Sacramento State slated for 10 a.m. MST and Saturday's Senior Day matchup against Montana State at 2 p.m. MST.
