Lumberjacks Soccer Set for Pair of Matches in Utah

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (September 10, 2025) – The Northern Arizona women's soccer team will play a pair of road matches with future Big Sky opponents in Utah this weekend.
 
The Lumberjacks take on Southern Utah on Friday at 3 p.m. MST and then face Utah Tech on Sunday at 12 p.m. MST. Both matches will be streamed on ESPN+.
 
NAU stands at 2-1-3 entering this week, including an unbeaten 2-0-3 mark in matches away from Flagstaff. The Lumberjacks most recently played a 0-0 contest with UC Irvine on Sunday for their second straight draw.
 
The 'Jacks are outscoring opponents 9-6 this season. Micala Boex and Avery Ott lead the offense with three goals apiece. Boex and Madisyn Marchesi each have two assists
on the season. NAU began this season with the goalies in rotation, with freshman Reece Reichwald earning the last four starts between the posts as she has accumulated a 0.87 GAA. Lexi Savesky has also spent 128 minutes in goal this season with two starts.
 
Southern Utah enters this contest with a 0-4-2 mark, fresh off a 3-1 loss to UNLV on September 7th. The Thunderbirds were picked last in the WAC Preseason Poll, with
Aubrey Murray earning a spot on the Preseason All-WAC team. NAU will be Southern Utah's fourth meeting with a Big Sky opponent this season. The Thunderbirds opened their season with a 3-0 loss to Montana, then fell 2-1 to Eastern Washington before drawing Northern Colorado 1-1. Following its contest with NAU, SUU will face another Big Sky member in Portland State on Sep. 21.
 
Utah Tech (3-2-1) faces Utah on Thursday evening before welcoming NAU to St. George on Sunday. The Trailblazers were picked third in the WAC Preseason Poll, the highest
selection they have ever received. Kyah Le, Lacy Fox, and Michelle Rodriguez were each named to the Preseason All-WAC team.
