FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (Sep. 2, 2025) – NAU women's soccer senior midfielder
Avery Ott has earned conference and national recognition following a stellar performance last week in Hawai'i.
Ott was named Big Sky Offensive Player of the Week, as well as to TopDrawerSoccer's National Team of the Week, both announced Tuesday morning. She is the first Lumberjack to receive a national recognition and weekly laurel from the league this season.
The award follows a 1-0-1 week for the Lumberjacks which took them to Waipahu where they earned the first-place finish in the University of Hawai'i Outrigger Tournament.
Ott shined in NAU's match against Hawai'i late Thursday evening, as she recorded the first hat trick of her career to power the 'Jacks to a 4-2 win over the Rainbow Wahine. The senior recorded her goals on five shots, including one in the 84th minute to give insurance for the win. She is the fifth player in program history to record a hat trick.
NAU returns to the pitch on Sunday, Sep. 7 as it travels to UC Irvine. Kickoff is scheduled for 1 p.m. MST and will be streamed on ESPN+.
