NAU Women’s Basketball Announces 2026-27 Schedule

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (October 13, 2026) – The Northern Arizona women's basketball team has revealed its 2026-27 schedule, head coach Laura Dinkins announced Tuesday afternoon.

Season tickets are now available for purchase at this link as the 'Jacks enter their second season under Dinkins.

All home games will be played in the Rolle Activity Center this season, announced yesterday. NAU Athletics will host three public pick-your-own seat season ticket events for fans in Rolle. The first will be Oct. 13 from 7:30-8:30 p.m. Fans will have a second opportunity to pick their seats in person on Tuesday, Oct. 20, from 6:30-7:30 p.m. with a chance to see the NAU volleyball team in action during their match against Portland State. The last pick-your-seat event will be Wednesday, Oct. 21, from 6:30-7:30 p.m.

NAU will look to build upon a first-year campaign that saw dramatic improvement over the course of the season, as it finished 10-22 after a 1-9 start, earning the No. 7 seed in the Big Sky Championships. The 'Jacks return four players this season in Emma Dasovich, Layla Davis, Alyssa Harris, and Madison Watts, while welcoming eight transfers and two true freshmen to round out the roster.

The trio of Dasovich, Davis, and Watts will play keys roles in the development of this season's roster. Dasovich is NAU's returning leader in 3-point percentage (34.6), as well as assists (59), while Watts led last year's squad in field goal percentage (47.2) and rebounds (6.9), and Davis posted a team-leading 26 blocks.

The Lumberjacks' season begins in-state with a road trip to Tempe to face Arizona State on Nov. 5. Non-conference play continues with a home contest against UC Irvine on Nov. 10, a trip to Fresno State on Nov. 14, and another home game against Bethesda (Calif.) on Nov. 18. Next, NAU will face a challenge as it travels to Los Angeles to face Juju Watkins and USC on Nov. 23, before UC San Diego travels to Flagstaff on Nov. 28 to close out the first month of action.

NAU then hits the road to begin conference matches, starting with a trip to Montana to face the Griz on Dec. 3 and the Bobcats on Dec. 5. The 'Jacks will begin to close out the non-conference slate of their schedule with another in-state foe in the Wildcats on Dec. 13 in Tucson, before playing host to Park (Ariz.) and Grand Canyon on Dec. 16 and 19. The non-conference finale will see the 'Jacks travel to California once more for a contest with Long Beach State on Dec. 21.

The calendar year will finish with Weber State traveling to Flagstaff on Dec. 31, as NAU shifts exclusively to Big Sky opponents. The Lumberjacks then remain at 7,000 feet and begin 2027 with three straight home games against Idaho State (Jan. 2), Eastern Washington (Jan. 7), and Idaho (Jan. 9).

The following weeks see NAU hit the road for matchups with Utah Tech on Jan. 14 and Northern Colorado on Jan 23, with a home matchup against Portland State in-between on Jan. 21. The month concludes with another pair of home contests, as Montana State (Jan. 28) and Montana (Jan. 30) come to town.

Six out of eight games in February are on the road, starting with Idaho State on Feb. 4, Weber State on Feb. 6, and Southern Utah on Feb. 8. NAU then hosts Utah Tech on Feb. 11 before another trio of away games at Idaho (Feb. 18), Eastern Washington (Feb. 20), and Portland State (Feb. 22).

The regular season finishes with a pair of home games, as Southern Utah and Northern Colorado travel to Flagstaff on Feb. 27 and March 1.

The Big Sky Championships will be held March 5-11 in Boise, Idaho, with the winner of Starch Madness receiving the league's automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament.
