Lydia Lin Joins NAU Golf for Spring 2026

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 10, 2026) - Head women's golf coach Brad Bedortha has announced the addition of true freshman Lydia Lin, just in time for the highly competitive spring season.

Lin was born in Guangzhou, China and graduated at Windermere Preparatory in Florida before attending Orion International Academy in California.

Lin has a plethora of achievements under her belt and experience playing around the world. This past year, she took fifth in the third leg of the Super Lychee National Amateur Golf Future tour and ninth in the fifth installment of the CLPGQ Beijing Peal Series - both in China.

In 2023, she was the FJT Okeeheelee Open Champion, the 64th Florida Girls' Junior Champion and Optimist International Junior Champion, defending her title from 2022.

"We are excited to add Lydia to our program," Bedortha said. "She is going to add value to the team and we are looking forward to her joining us in Flagstaff."

The Lumberjacks begin their spring slate on Feb. 14 for the Alice and John Wallace Women's Golf Classic, hosted by Long Beach State in Palm Desert, Calif.
