FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (February 24, 2026) – The Northern Arizona women's basketball team will honor three graduating student-athletes in its final home game of the season before starting its final road trip of the year this week.
The Lumberjacks will tipoff against top-seeded Idaho on Thursday, Feb. 26 before traveling to Cheney, Washington to face Eastern Washington on Saturday, Feb. 28. Tipoff with the Vandals is scheduled for 6 p.m. MST, and game time with the Eagles is set for 4:30 p.m. MST.
NAU enters this week with a 10-18 record and 6-9 mark in Big Sky Conference games, locked in a three-way tie with Sacramento State and Eastern Washington for fifth place in the league standings. The Lumberjacks had a three-game win streaked halted by Northern Colorado on Saturday at home, as they fell 81-53 to the Bears in NAU's largest margin of defeat on the season.

Simone Morris ahead of tipoff with the Vandals. Williams and Morris are both transfers in their first season in Flagstaff, while Taylor is the lone four-year player on the squad. Both Taylor and Morris are serving as team captains this season.
Idaho (23-5, 14-1 Big Sky) enters this contest on a 12-game win streak and has sat first in the standings since a 73-70 overtime win against Montana State on Feb. 6. The Vandals lead the league in scoring offense at almost 80 points per game, and field goal percentage at 43.4%. They are also second to NAU in accuracy beyond the arc at 32.3%. Hope Hassman is scoring 14.1 points and dishing a conference-second-best 4.25 assists per contest, while Deborah dos Santos is scoring 11.7 points and pulling down a team-best 7.7 boards per game. The Vandals most recently took a 75-60 win over Sacramento State, and won their first meeting with the Jacks, 94-71, on Jan. 31 in Moscow.
Eastern Washington snapped a four-game skid on Saturday against Portland State at home to stand at 13-15 and 6-9 in conference action. The Eagles won an absolute shootout in their visit to Flagstaff, 93-87 on Jan. 29, and are 2-4 in their last six outings. Kourtney Grossman has led the way in the paint for EWU, collecting a league-best 12.75 rebounds per game and has ranked amongst the nation's best in rebounding all season long. Grossman is also scoring 13.9 points per game, while Jaecy Eggers leads the conference in blocks per game with 1.50. The Eagles will travel to Greeley to face Northern Colorado on Thursday before returning to Cheney to welcome NAU on Saturday.
