FARMINGTON, Utah (April 8, 2026) – Northern Arizona men's tennis freshman
Jakub Jedrzejczak has been named the Big Sky Player of the Week, the conference announced Wednesday morning.
The laurel comes of the heels of a 2-0 week for the Lumberjacks, in which Jedrzejczak went undefeated in singles and doubles play, competing on court two. NAU earned victories over Montana State and Montana, both 4-3 decisions, and clinched at least a share of the Big Sky Regular Season Championship for the fourth straight season.
He stands at 14-3 overall on the year, with all but three of his victories coming in straight sets, the most recent being over Montana's Baltaz Wiger-Nordas on Sunday. His 10-match win streak in singles is also currently the longest of anyone in the league, and the longest of a Lumberjack since Dominik Buzonics won 13 in a row during the 2023 season.
The native of Bielsko-Biala, Poland has accumulated a 12-3 record in doubles as well, playing alongside fellow Lumberjacks
Daniels Tens,
Takumi Katsuda, and
Jakub Volesky. Jedrzejczak and Volesky have won seven in a row, collecting three bagels during that stretch.
NAU sits atop the league standings with an 14-5 record, including a perfect 6-0 mark in conference matches, and have won seven contests in a row.
Jedrzejczak and the Lumberjacks will be back in action this weekend as NAU welcomes Arizona Christian to Flagstaff on Saturday, April 11. First serve is set for 2 p.m. MST and can be followed on live stats.
Fans attending the match can also enter a raffle to win a Lumberjack Bobblehead. Following the match, the Jacks will host another ACEing Autism event for members of the community.
