DENVER, Colo. (October 19, 2019) – After four days in Denver, Colo. for the Intercollegiate Tennis Association Mountain Regionals, Northern Arizona University men's tennis finished in the second consolation bracket with a couple more wins under their belt.
After winning two matches yesterday,
Facundo Tumosa won his last and final third set today against Denver's Ros, with both sets being 6-1.
Eban Straker-Meads won his single match today against another Denver player, Crespo, also in three sets. In the first, Straker-Meads was down 6-2, but came back to win 7-6 in the second and 1-0 in the third.
Alex Groves and
Chris Steele did not find the same amount of success that they had from the previous day. In both of the sets against Nevada's Campi, Groves fell 4-6. Steele took a hit from Nevada's Dudockin, ending his match 6-1 and 7-6.
The Lumberjacks will be returning home from Denver and heading down to the valley to play at the Grand Canyon Invitational in Phoenix, Ariz. from Nov. 1-3.
