FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (October 24, 2019) – Northern Arizona University men's tennis recently signed Joachim Schaefer, a freshman who will start for the team in the spring semester.
"We are very excited about Joachim joining our team in the spring," head coach
Maciej Bogusz said. "He fits perfectly to our team culture and will be able to accomplish great things as a Lumberjack."
Schaefer comes from Oslo, Norway. In his athletic career, he won the International Tennis Federation Grade 4 in doubles while reaching the singles finals. With the Ullern Tennis Club, they were the winners of the National Championships in team matches.
"Joachim is a player who will not only impact the team right away but will also keep improving with time," Bogusz said. "We can't wait to have him on campus."
