BOISE, Idaho (March 11, 2019) – Senior
Kaleigh Paplow, the Northern Arizona women's basketball team's leader in points, rebounds, assists and steals, was voted to the All-Big Sky Third Team on Monday ahead of the start of the Big Sky Conference Championships by the league's head coaches.
Paplow ranks in the Big Sky's top 10 in points, rebounds and steals entering Monday's conference tournament opener versus Sacramento State. She is eighth in scoring with 14.2 points per game, seventh in rebounding with 7.8 per game and eighth in steals with 1.7 per game. Paplow also ranks 12th with 3.4 assists per game.
Paplow punctuated her outstanding regular season with 27 points, 15 rebounds and five assists to pace the Lumberjacks to a regular season-ending 79-68 win against Northern Colorado, the defending Big Sky Champions last Saturday. The 27 points were a season-best for Paplow, while she set a new career-high with 15 boards. Her Senior Day performance was her sixth 20-point game of the season and sixth double-double.
The four-year do-it-all forward out of Parker, Colo. has set career-highs in every single statistical category this season while being the only Lumberjack to start all 29 games. She is sixth in the conference playing 36.5 minutes per game.
Paplow is currently the only player in program history to rank in the top 10 in points, rebounds, assists, steals and minutes played. The All-Big Sky Third Team honor is Paplow's first career selection.
The Lumberjacks and Hornets get the conference tournament started on Monday at 1:30 p.m. MST at the CenturyLink Arena in Boise, Idaho. The game can be seen on Pluto TV Channel 231 and
