HOUSTON, Texas (February 27, 2020) – A major water break forced the Western Athletic Conference to cancel Thursday's evening session of the 2020 WAC Swimming and Diving Championship.

Andy Johns said. "But health and safety and things were out of our control. So, we get ready for tomorrow's events and move on.
It was decided to score Thursday's preliminary races as timed finals after a vote by the coaches. The 200 freestyle relays that were originally scheduled for Thursday night will now take place at the start of Friday's evening session, which is now scheduled to begin at 5:30 p.m. local time.
The Lumberjacks swam in the 500 yard free, 200 IM and the 50 freestyle.
Elisa Rodriguez earned her first goal medal of the championships after a time of 22.81. In the 200 IM,
Niamh McDonagh finished fifth at 2:03.83.
In addition, the women's 3-meter dive finals, which were originally scheduled for Thursday night will now take place on Friday. As a result, the women's platform dive, which was originally scheduled for Friday, will now take place on Saturday.
