FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (March 8, 2022) - The Lumberjacks excelled in day two of the NCAA Zone E Diving Championships, with all three divers placing in the top 25 during 3m prelims.
Emily Luberto, Victoria Knapp, and Maegan Jensen competed for the Lumberjack diving squad, making six dives each in the 3m prelims. For Jensen and Knapp, it was their second consecutive day of dives after competing in the 1m prelim round yesterday.
Luberto made her NCAA Zone Diving Championships debut for the season, placing 24th in the 3m prelims with a final score of 259.40. Jensen, diving in her second of three events this week, placed 25th overall in 3m prelims with a final score of 256.20.
Knapp closed out her season in the 3m prelims, coming up just short from the top 18 to move on to finals. The sophomore placed 19th overall with a final score of 276.05.
The Lumberjacks will have four divers competing in platform dives beginning tomorrow at 11:30 a.m. MST. Luberto and Jensen will be joined by Makenna Sammons and Reaney Preston to take on the platform dives and close out the 2022 NCAA Zone E Diving Championships.
