TEMPE, Ariz. (March 14, 2023) - The Lumberjacks were ranked No. 65 in the nation this morning by the ITA, after taking down the No. 68 Air Force Academy Falcons in 7-0 fashion on Friday in Flagstaff.
The Jacks improved to 10-2 with the sweep over the Falcons, as NAU handed Air Force just their second loss of the season, marking the Lumberjacks' second consecutive victory over a nationally ranked opponent.
NAU is the only school from the Big Sky to have an ITA ranking, which is the team's fourth-ever honor and second of the season after last week's No. 75 ranking came in for the Jacks.
With twelve matches left until the Big Sky Tournament in Phoenix, NAU looks to continue climbing the ITA ladder beginning with a doubleheader in Flagstaff tomorrow as the Jacks take on Pratt CC and Omaha for back-to-back matches.
