FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (June 4, 2024) – The NAU track & field team is ready to begin competition at the NCAA Outdoor Track & Field Championships with 13 athletes traveling, the most in program history.
Colin Sahlman will open competition for NAU as he competes in the semifinal of the 1,500-meter on Wednesday, June 5 at 4:46 p.m. MST.
Cael Grotenhuis and
Aaron Las Heras will wrap up competition on Wednesday as they compete in the final of the 10,000-meter at 7:08 p.m. MST.
Maggi Congdon will begin competition for the NAU women on Thursday, June 6 with the semifinal of the 1,500-meter at 5:46 p.m. MST.
Karrie Baloga will compete in the semifinal of the 3,000-meter steeplechase at 6:02 p.m. MST.
Aliandrea Upshaw will compete in the final of the 10,000-meter at 8:08 p.m. MST.
The women's 4x400-meter semifinal will close out the first day of competition for the women, with
Madeline Wilson,
LiNay Perry,
Maggi Congdon, and
Kyairra Reigh competing at 8:48 p.m. MST.
The finals of the men's 1,500-meter will take place on Friday, June 7 at 6:12 p.m. MST.
Nico Young,
Brodey Hasty, and
Cael Grotenhuis will all compete in the final of the 5,000-meter at 7:55 p.m. MST to close out the men's competition for the Lumberjacks.
The 1,500-meter women's final will take place on Saturday, June 8 at 2:41 p.m. MST, with the final of the 3,000-meter steeplechase taking place at2:54 p.m. MST.
Annika Reiss and
Gracelyn Larkin will compete in the final of the 5,000-meter at 4:25 p.m. MST.
The women's 4x400-meter final will take place at 4:51 p.m. MST to conclude the 'Jacks competition at the national meet.
