FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. (
October 15, 2025) – The Northern Arizona women
's soccer team is set to host their final two home matches of the 2025 season this week.
Northern Arizona (4-4-5, 1-2-1 Big Sky) hosts Weber State (9-6, 3-2 Big Sky) on Friday, Oct. 17 at 7 p.m. MST followed by a Sunday meeting against Idaho State (5-6-3, 2-2-1 Big Sky) on Oct. 19 at 1 p.m. MST.
Friday
's match will mark the return of the eminent Astrojacks identity, which debuted last year against Montana. This new alternate identity was chosen to recognize and celebrate Flagstaff and the greater Northern Arizona region's rich lunar legacy, including the city being named the world's first International Dark Sky City in 2001. Along with the return of the Astrojacks, Northern Arizona women
's soccer will have eight seniors recognized for senior night.

The Lumberjacks dropped a tough contest last week to Portland State, 1-0. NAU forward
Micala Boex leads the Big Sky in total shots with 48, while
Avery Ott ranks second with 44. Boex is third in the league in goals (six), while Ott ranks seventh with five. Goalkeeper
Reece Reichwald is tied atop the conference in save percentage at .841, recording 58 saves in 13 appearances.
The Lumberjacks will face league shot and goal leaders, Weber State, who have gathered 28 goals on 232 shots. The Wildcat attack is powered by forward Grace Kirby, who has totaled 40 shots, four goals, and five assists, and forward Sayler Schlosser, who has added 32 shots, five goals, and three assists.
The Wildcats look to string together a win streak after they completed a 1-1 stretch this past week, falling to the Griz in Missoula and defeating the Hornets, 6-0, at home. Historically, Northern Arizona holds an 8-5-5 advantage in the all-time series, with the Astrojacks taking last season's matchup in Ogden, Utah, 2-1.
Following the contest, the Lumberjacks identity returns to welcome the Bengals in Flagstaff. Lead attacker for Idaho State is forward Saydree Cooke, who has gathered 34 shots, two goals and four assists. Trailing not too far behind is midfielder Mary Za, who has 30 shots, three goals and three assists.
The Lumberjacks hold a 16-2-1 record all-time against the Bengals and have won 14 straight in the series. Their last meeting resulted in a 2-0 shutout in Pocatello.
After Sunday
's match, the Lumberjacks head to the pacific northwest to face Eastern Washington on Oct. 24 at 7 p.m. MST before wrapping up the regular season at Idaho on Oct. 26 at 12 p.m. MST.
