LITCHFIELD PARK, Ariz. (April 14, 2025) - The Northern Arizona women's golf team completed the first round of the Big Sky Conference Tournament, shooting a 297 (+13). The Lumberjacks currently sit in fourth place, just two strokes behind Montana.
Reigning champions Sacramento State finished the day with a total of 282 (-2), five strokes ahead of Montana State. Darla May Dela Torre of Sac State leads the field by one stroke after carding a 68 (-3).
Amy Hodgkins led the way for NAU with a 72 (+1) in her opening round. She birdied the first hole, a 511-yard par-five, and went on to par 15 holes, the most of any player so far. She is currently tied for 10th place on the leaderboard.
Three Lumberjacks - Frankie Dezis, Nina Lukyanenko, and Lizzie Neale - are tied for 20th after each posted a round of 75 (+4).
Sumin Kang rounded out the lineup with an 83 (+12), placing her in solo 50th.
As a team, NAU has recorded 51 pars and 11 birdies through the first round. The 'Jacks will play alongside Idaho and Eastern Washington tomorrow, with the first tee time set for 7:50 a.m. Mountain Standard Time. Live scoring is available on Scoreboard Clippd.
