ARLINGTON, Texas (July 1, 2025) - The Western Athletic Conference (WAC) announced the 2025 Academic All-WAC honorees for spring sports, along with freshmen and transfer student-athletes from all 2024-25 conference sports.
In addition to NAU's 15 student-athletes honored on the 2025 Winter WAC All-Academic team, eight freshmen and transfers earned all-academic accolades after completing their first full year of competition and academics.
To be eligible for the honor, a student-athlete must have completed at least one academic year, have at least a 3.2 cumulative grade-point average and have participated in at least 50 percent of the team's contests.
Their success in the classroom is accompanied by the Lumberjacks 12th straight WAC championship. The 'Jacks won their 12th straight WAC conference title, ending the conference meet with a total of 694.5 points.
The 'Jacks hold the WAC record for most consecutive years winning the championship, earning the title every year since the 2013-14 season. Previously, they were tied with SMU with nine as the Mustangs had won the championship for nine straight years from 1997-2005.
Starting in the 2025-26 season, Northern Arizona's swimming and diving program will join the Mountain Pacific Sports Federation.
